If you're having an iPhone 6 you cannot update further then iOS 12.5.6 due to hardware limitations

If you have an iPhone 6S, iOS 14 is not available anymore via Apple, but the 6S is compatible with iOS 15. Install the latest version iOS 15.7.2 instead if you have an iPhone 6S

Update via settings>general>software update, make sure to turn off low power mode and to connect your device to a wifi network

If updating wirelessly is not working, please update via a pc or Mac instead
