Data transfer without viruses.
My old MacBook has issues with excessive pop-ups for antivirus software when connected to the Internet. Is there a way to transfer data to my new MacBook without transferring that issue over with it?

The pop-ups you saw maybe just advertisements from web, trying to convince you to install something on your Mac. Do not click any links or install any software.
