Hi! Ever since the iOS 16(I'm currently on 16.2) updates, my iPhone is unable to play music, within the music app, continuously, and at times, music pauses. Additionally, the iTunes app doesn't open

What iOS version did you update last? Simply saying "latest upgrade" leaves a lot of doubt in my mind.
Many users who have updated to iOS 16 and above must have a similar issue if the issues stated by you are due to the iOS.
Unless you state what the issue is many in this forum may not be able to respond positively to the issue you are facing.
