My old iPad Air will not charge

My old iPad Air will not charge. I assume it’s the battery. How do I retrieve its information to my new iPad?

If it won't turn on, there is no way to access its information at this point.

You should aways have have a backup, and can setup the new iPad from that backup to get all the backed up data from the old iPad onto the new one.

If you don't have a backup, then its too late to make one now. Unless you manually turned the option off manually, the iPad should have been backing up to iCloud automatically at night when connected to power, and Wi-fi and with the screen turned off for an extended period of time.
