How do I darken the Lock Screen?

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. To darken the Lock Screen on an iPhone, you have the option to low the brightness. This will adjust the brightness for both the Lock Screen and the Home Screen of your iPhone. Here's how:

Adjust brightness in Control Center

1. On your iPhone X or later, or your iPad with iOS 12 or iPadOS, swipe down from the top-right corner of your display. On your iPhone 8 or earlier, swipe up from the bottom edge of your display.

2. Drag the brightness bar  up or down to adjust the brightness.

If you're referring to turning off the Always-On display, you can go to Settings > Display & Brightness > turning off Always On Display.
