Poor Performance iMac 5K Retina 27"

Our iMac has been performing poorly as of late, issues especially occur when running Premiere Pro and After Effects simultaneously, editing 4K footage. Both of which are CPU heavy programs, but in theory should not be a problem for this machine.

Specs:

Processor: 3,6 GHz 10-Core Intel Core i9

Graphics: AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 GB

Memory: 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4

macOS: 13.1 (22C65)

I've run an EtreCheck at the end of the day when performance was at it's worst, and then again the next morning.

I can see adobe software is causing the bulk of the issues but am wondering if there are any solutions to speed up performance again?

Any help would be much appreciated.

You have plied on a lot of third party App’s and Processes.

  1. Remove App’s that are set to automatically open at login.
  2. Quit App’s that you are not using.
