All my files are gone because of icloud drive sync

Hi all,


So

I decided to update my Mac Book Pro OS then for some reason that i do

not know, all my desktop and documents file/folders got synced into

icloud Drive which i really don't want it to happen.

So

it I stop the syncing from System preferences -> Apple ID ->

icloud drive, all the files and folders will disappear from local OS(

local desktop and documents)


is

there any way to get my files? i don't want to download them manually

from icloud.com because even if i did that and turn of icloud drive sync

the files will disappear again!


imma cry now :(

Please need you help.

If you turn off desktop and documents, the contents are moved into “desktop” and “documents” folders in the iCloud Drive folder and a new desktop and documents folder are created on your Mac. Simply navigate to the named folders in iCloud Drive and drag any contents that you would like to the new locations
