Dropped ipad

Screen not working after dropping ipad. Accepts charge and preset alarm works so have sound. Any tips before taking it to the apple store? What is the likely charge for such a repair?

Out-of-warranty repairs a generally charged a flat-rate repair fee - typically 60% of the “as new” cost of the device. For qualifying devices, Apple usually offer a rapid-exchange service, where you will be offered an exchange for a renewed/reconditioned device of the same model and specification. The cost is exactly the same, but significantly reduces the time that would otherwise be required for the repair; if in stock, the exchange is usually immediate.


You might choose to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad - and you can explore your available options:
