My Photos library is on an 8TB external drive formatted as MacOS Extended (Journaled) and wouldn't open this morning.
Am running Mac Studio 2022 M1 Max, Ventura 13.1
Photos Library is 2.64TB
Can't copy it back to the Mac SSD as it is only 2TB
Appreciate similar experiences/solutions. Thank you.

Tried Utilities disk repair, but it could not unmount. Restarted Mac, still would not dismount disk automatically for Utilities repair so I dismounted it using Utilities, then requested repair. It ran repair, I mounted the disk, double-clicked the library and it opened.
I'll count this as a win.
