Cannot update apps

I have tried starting several apps in my iPhone and my iPad but when I click on the app I’m told I have to update my app. When I click on update I asked for the password for my Apple ID, however, the email address they list for my Apple ID is not the one I use for my Apple ID and therefore I have no password for the email address listed. How do I get that corrected?

Delete and redownload those applications. A different Apple ID is stored inside them.
