When I try to post to my status on Facebook on my iPhone 12 pro it drops me out of Facebook back to where all the apps are, it will not let me type in anything. If I sign back in to Facebook it shows the letter I typed and does the same thing if I try to type another letter or number. Any suggestions on how to correct this problem?

I would start by deleting Facebook, then reinstalling it. If that doesn't work, contact Facebook for help with their software.
