Apple Watch Outdoor Walk not Mapped but Outdoor Run is Mapped

The map for Outdoor Walk only shows the starting point. However, the route for Outdoor Run is fully mapped.

Location Services for Apple Watch Workout is enabled.

The Apple Watch Ultra is running WatchOS 9.3 (although this problem was also visible in version 9.2). My iPhone 13 Mini is running iOS 16.2.

Hello PatrickXXXX,

We understand wanting to see a complete workout summary after you finish an outdoor walk. Based on your post, your companion iPhone isn't running the latest version of iOS (16.3). Because these software updates often include fixes for unexpected behavior, we recommend backing up then updating your iPhone with the steps in Update your iPhone or iPad.

  1. "Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
  2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
  3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
  4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
  5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do."

If you continue to experience the same issue after updating your iPhone, we'd recommend contacting Apple Support directly for additional support.

Regards.
