Apps stuck while updating.

after the last update, I have 3 apps that won't finish updating. They just sit there and spin. What can I do? I've tried to delete them using the "X" but no luck. I've also shut down my Mac several times and restarted it. Still the same problem. I just want them to go away, I never use these 3 apps anyway.
