The best way would be to copy the contents of the internal hard disk (including the 6.0.3 System Folder) to an external SCSI hard drive (or SCSI Zip drive). You could then use a bootable Disk Tools floppy (possibly with a separate wiping utility) to erase the internal hard disk, and after that copy the System Folder back from the external drive.

If you do not have access to an external SCSI hard drive (or Zip drive), it will be a bit more complicated.

One way could be to manually move all files, except the System Folder (and its content), to the Wastebasket/Trash. Empty the Trash. The result should be a System Folder with all system files. You could then test a restart. After that, look for a suitable (not too small) file without personal information. Create a new folder, and move the file to that folder. Repeatedly duplicate the file until there is almost no more free space on the hard disk. If necessary, duplicate a smaller file to fill the remaining free space of the hard disk. This will overwrite any empty space. Finally, move the new folder to the Trash, and empty the Trash.

It may be easier to install a fresh System 6.0.3 or 6.0.8. What do you have to work with? SCSI drives? Another pre-1998 Macintosh computer with Ethernet and/or a CD-ROM drive? Older StuffIt Expander utility versions (such as 4.0.1 or 5.5)?
