4k remote stops working

Contact Apple or Apple Authorized Service Provider (not here) about your 4K remote. Explain to them what you have done already so you do not incur redundancy. Your new Apple TV 4K is under warranty. Take advantage of that, and perhaps there is something wrong with that remote (or the Apple TV hardware) that Apple may decide to replace under warranty.

And what if all the problem solution- recharge, reconnect, restart, replace with a new Apple TV 4K 3rd gen and a new remote doesn’t help?

im so frustrated with the new version. My old HD Apple TV worked flawless for years.

I would do some further investigation with Apple support because that is definitely not a normal outcome. I can attest to having mine since launch without issue, and am not seeing an uptick of other reports like this. Hopefully this can be resolved, I agree that is frustrating.

Use a USB C cable to connect to a wall adapter to ensure a full charge (around 3 hours). If the issue persists contact Apple support.
