My iPhone 14 pro will not maintain connection to the internet via wifi. fix?

I may have found the fix.
I turned off VPN and turned on WIFI and the connection is not dropping.
Note: VPN automatically restarted and is ON but this does not seem to affect the wifi to internet connection.

There seems to be a problem between VPN and the wifi. The wifi/internet still dropped but reconnected when I turned VPN off and on. Go figure.
