Filters Moving eMails to Trash:

Log into your eMail provider's site, and view the Settings on the site. See if you are filtering out all of your eMails. If they are all going to trash, then a filter is likely sending them there.

Emails only go to trash when you move them to trash, either in your current device or a different device connected to the same email account.
