Scam Text Message

Hello, I just received a text from "UPS" saying I needed to pay my invoice from my apple product I just purchased (I just purchased one so I clicked :(). It brought me to a blank page. I closed my browser and cleared my history and deleted the text. Have I compromised my phone? I do have the newest OS, am I ok??

I received a text from supposedly UPS about updating my delivery address. I mistakenly or stupidly clicked on the link. I thought it was ok because I saw "https://...". Anyway I clicked on the link and it didn't connect/open to a site. Instead it said something to the effect, "link was not a valid link". Now I'm wondering if by clicking on the link I "injected" my iPhone11 with malware. It's pretty scary. I spent several hours updating my userids and passwords just in case. I also have an iPad and MacBook air and I'm wondering is they are potentially infected too.

IPhone Security with phishing attempt I received a text message with a phishing attempt on my credit union account. I clicked the link, but realized it might be bogus and clicked out. I did not enter any information. I was told by the CU representative that I should take my phone to an Apple Store to be scanned. Is this true? Are IPhones subject to viruses? It is a second generation SE.

suspicious text disappeared after clicking on it I received a text notification from "my bank" stating that a credit was applied to my account. The sound of the notification was different that my normal notifications. I clicked on the notification and when I did that, it disappeared. I can't find it with my other texts either. My question is how likely is it that it was sending me malware? I've changed my email and bank passwords, but should I do more? Reset my phone maybe? Any suggestions? Thanks! TC

Yes, you are okay.

That SMS was probably an attempt at "phishing" - that is, to get you to hand over information, e.g. Credit Card number, etc. As long as you have not given any information, there is no reason to worry. As for whether your iPhone has been compromised, you can also rest easy.
