APPLE ID DELETE NEW AND REPLACE WITH OLD

If you delete an apple id you can not use the email to make another apple id . You have to make a new email to make a new id . I think you can use your same apple id you have on your nee phone no prob , log out of your id on your old phone then use it to log in on your new phone.

You were misinformed about needing a new ID.

Sign out of the phone with the current ID and then sign in with your old ID.

1. Open the Settings app.

2. Tap Sign in to your [device].

3. Enter your Apple ID and password.

4. If prompted, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number and complete sign in.

You may be asked if you wish to merge data from the two IDs. You can decide if this is what you wish to do.

if you have purchased apps with the new ID you will need to either re-purchase them or you will need to set up Family Sharing between the two IDs.
