I’ve forgotten my iCloud password and need it to transfer my data from old iPhone to new I phone

Check your web browser autofill entries, the Keychain, and other records, or use Apple's iForgot service, or contact their Account Security team.
If you're referring to a password inside a backup file, it can't be reset; instead, correctly guess it or create a new backup.
