Regarding your data, If…
- Please check if you have backup on PC/Mac
- Messages are not backed up, If you had turned on Messages in iCloud. Your content is automatically stored in iCloud and is available on all devices that use the same Apple ID
- Please check if you have them on iCloud Photos by logging into https://www.icloud.com using your Apple ID credentials.
- If you had imported your Photos & Videos to Mac/PC then they are safely residing there
- If you had uploaded some of the photos to Cloud Drives using the Files app (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, OneDrive, DropBox, Flickr, box, AmazonDrive, Adobe Creative Cloud etc) then they are safe there,
