Alias emails

I have followed instructions by going to: mailbox, preferences, accounts, selected an iCloud alias email in the list, but then could not complete the next instruction to either: turn off an alias, or turn on an alias, or delete an alias. What do I have to do to complete one of these final steps as my current alias email needs to be deleted or at the least deactivated?

If an app or feature on your device is not working or is restricted, it may have been disabled using Screen Time, or by an IT administrator if you are using a device owned by an employer or educational institution.
