iPad Pro 9.7 inch MM192LL/A - The charging input port seems to be loose

The charging input port seems to be loose when the cable is plugged in. If I wiggle the cable, the connection is made but disconnects when let go. With continued wiggling, the connection will stay on, but this shouldn't be happening. I've tried using a different cable and adapter. The same thing happens.

Is there an easy fix?

Thanks in advance, Jan

Have you attempted to resolve the problem with a new Apple Lightning cable? If the problem is resolved with a new cable, you will have saved the considerable expense of having the iPad repaired.

If a replacement cable does not resolve then issue, the Lightning port may be damaged - necessitating a repair. Given the cost, repair may be uneconomic - in which case using the money towards a newer model iPad might be a better option.
