no notifications from mail app

My mail app used to give me notifications for whenever I got emails, but it doesn’t anymore. No banners, no badges, no sounds, even though those are all turned on for mail in the settings. I’ve already tried removing and re-adding the email addresses, uninstalling and reinstalling the mail app, restarting the phone, updating the iOS, nothing is working.

Welcome back Ayuthan,

Just to confirm, were you able to check to see if those were included in Settings > Notifications > Scheduled Summary? We want to be sure it didn't get inadvertently added.

Additionally, are you receiving any notifications such as a badge app icon? If you go to Settings > Notifications > Mail > Customize Notifications > Tap Account, do you see Badges and Alerts enabled? If not, let's go ahead and enable both and test to see if the same behavior occurs. This can help us determine if a different setting may be affecting Mail.

Lastly, let's go to Settings > Mail > Fetch New Data, after tapping on Fetch New Data, what do you see showing for the account listed there? Push, Fetch, or Manual? At the bottom, is Fetch set to Automatically?

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Have a lovely day!

Thanks for checking on that, Ayuthan,

Does your email provider offer Push service? If not, are you able to see your notifications for Mail if you set it to Fetch instead (Settings > Mail > Accounts > Fetch New Data)?

If you're still unable to receive any notifications for Mail after changing your alert styles to Fetch, we'd suggest that you reach out to Apple to report this behavior. You can reach them here: Contact Apple Support

Kind regards.

Hello Ayuthan,

Thank you for posting to Apple Support Communities.

We understand that you're not receiving notifications from the Mail app. Might you have a scheduled notification summary enabled? This will group your notifications to only deliver that at a certain time of the day. This article explains the behavior: View and respond to notifications on iPhone - Apple Support

If the issue is not that and it still continues, let's make sure that iOS is updated on your iPhone. Before updating, we recommend backing up your iPhone first. These articles can be of help. When you back up, you can back up using a Mac or PC rather than iCloud if you choose.

That should help. Let us know if you have any questions.

Take care.
