Deleting backups

I bought an iPhone 11 for my daughter Not sure why but most of memory on her phone is used by back ups. Is there a way to delete all the backups and only keep one? ( the last one)

Backups are in iCloud, not locally on the iPhone.

You can find and delete iCloud Backups here:

Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Backups.

Find the Backup you want to delete, tap and scroll to the bottom and select Delete.

Alternatively, all backups can be deleted and you can take a new fresh backup. It's up to you.
