If you purchase a device directly from Apple, you have 14-days within which to unconditionally return the device for refund. In some circumstances, you can use this facility to return for refund - and then make a fresh purchase to access a known offer. Beyond 14-days, this option isn’t available to you.

Are the following true:

1] you just purchased the iPad directly from Apple and are within the return

window for your location, and

2] AirPods offer was in effect for your location at time of purchase, and

3] you qualify for educational discount.

Not all locations offer the educational bonus and not all at the same time.

you made the purchase or Apple (for your location) directly for assistance.
