Fonts menu cluttered with foreign fonts

I appreciate how Mac and iOS can display foreign text on webpages, even though I am not multilingual. However, in my fonts menu, it tends the clutter up the list.

Some applications handle fonts better than others. Adobe Photoshop Elements shows a preview of each font in the fonts popup, but they're tiny. Plus it seems to mix some of the foreign fonts in with the standard English fonts.

For example, in the screenshot, I suspect all the Kohinoor fonts are foreign fonts. These all display in a standard, undifferentiated, generic type face that looks like standard sans serif Helvetica. Some of the fonts, such as Kailasa Bold and Kokonor Regular, show a garbled preview, in addition to sounding like foreign font names.

I find it very annoying that all of these fonts are cluttering up the fonts menu. Many of the foreign fonts are put at the bottom of the list, but not all. I don't know why I need to see the foreign fonts that I will never use at all. I find that font handling on the macOS is badly thought out in this department.

Is there some way to clean up my fonts menus and hide from the lists the fonts that I might want displayed on webpages but I know I will never use and don't want showing up in the fonts lists?

Maybe I can offer some help. Yes, Apple does install many foreign fonts which we cannot remove, However, with the Ventura OS there is a tool you may find helpful. Open the Font Book app. Then follow the instructions under the Help menu to set up Font Collections. You can create as many collections as needed for various uses. These will then appear at the top of font selection menus in your apps such as Word. You will no longer have to scroll down the complete list of fonts. Also, in the font menu, each font is shown as it is. I consider this a major step forward. I hope it helps you.
