How do I fix no hardware installed on WiFi. On system report the WiFi is listed and shows versions of software

System Information —report the WiFi is listed and shows versions of software


If it shows no hardware then you have a hardware issue




Take it in for repair

Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"

Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support





No amount of software will fix a hardware issue.

Reboot

Thank you for your detailed comment. I have the same issue as OP. The hardware part is not shown in System Information -> Network -> WiFi


At first, both WiFi and Bluetooth stopped working. Then I replaced the WiFi cable, and since then Bluetooth works again, but WiFi still not. Then I replaced the Airport/WiFi card, but the issue still remains


Do you maybe know what could cause the issue ?


The strange thing is that Bluetooth works with the new cable, and both the new and old card. It only doesn’t work with the old cable. The WiFi however doesn’t work at all. As far as I know, the card and cable are responsible for both WiFi and Bluetooth
