I cannot remember my password for my Apple ID on my iPhone,but I do remember my Apple ID for my iPad. How can I change my Apple ID on my iPhone to match the same one as my Apple ID on my iPad?

If you are still logged in and able to use the problem iPhone you should be able to force a reset of the Apple ID password. See the first section of

If that works you will have a known password and will be able to login and remove the iPhone from that ID, then reset and connect into the new/desired Apple ID.

Unless you can sign out of the Apple ID currently on the iPhone, you can't sign in using a different one. You need to recover the password that you've forgotten.
