Remove/delete flashlight and camera icons from lock screen

I just downloaded the new iOS, hoping that finally I'd be able to remove the camera and the flashlight icon from the lock screen, as the update suggested there would be more options to customise the lock screen.

Is there any way to remove it?

Yes, I know I can disable it, switch off "raise to wake" etc.

I want to completely remove/delete it from the lock screen.

P.S.: How come we spend a fortune on Apple products and then Apple decides what I want/need on my lock screen???

Or did I miss something and it's removable in the new update?
