HomeKit devices go offline and then back online

Any idea why my Logitech doorbell and camera HomeKit devices go offline and back online multiple times each day? The home hub also does the came thing, although not as frequently.

Hi there Joe Skorupa,

If your HomeKit accessories are disconnecting unexpectedly, follow these troubleshooting steps to start since they can resolve unexpected behavior like this:

  1. Make sure the HomeKit accessories are powered on. If an accessory uses batteries, check the charge.
  2. Make sure that your iOS device has Bluetooth turned on.
  3. Power cycle the Wi-Fi router and/or modem off and back on.
  4. If you still need help, delete each accessory from the Home app and set it up again. To set up an accessory again, you might need to restore it to factory settings.

Let's also ensure your home hub is fully updated as well. This installs feature enhancements and bug fixes that can alleviate these kind of issues. These articles show how:

We hope that helps!
