Yes, but there is no way you can trigger the update manually. Just keep using your AirPods and leave them with charger power in their charging case, near the host iPhone when you are not using them. The upgrade will happen automatically and there is nothing critical and urgent in there, so to be honest it doesn't really matter if it happens in 2 hours or 2 weeks.
