If I turn off -optimize Mac storage-on my Mac , will it allow more storage on my Mac ( and not store the full content of iCloud Drive on my Mac)?

It is the reverse of that. Turning ON Optimize Mac Storage is the option to reduce the storage that iCloud Drive uses on your Mac. If your Mac has adequate storage space, the storage may not be optimized regardless of the setting.


If Optimize Mac Storage is off, then everything on iCloud Drive should also have a full local copy on your Mac.
