How do you restore the Apple Wallet app back on to your iPhone after deleting it?
I did this and now when I go to the App Store to redownload it, I'm only allowed to "open" the wallet instead of redownload the app to my screen.

As you found out, only the icon is removed and the underlying app is still there. You have to swipe left until you get to the App Library. Then you can search for it (possibly type "wallet" in the search area) then drag the icon to where you'd like to see it or do "Add to Home Screen".
