problem copying files from one user to another on iMac Ventura

How do I copy files from another Ventura user account to my account?

In my attempts I had problems with folders and had read someone's suggestion to use a utility program from Terminal - but cannot remember the name of the utility. Maybe had something to do with hidden files?

That's only useful if you copy to a not-Mac file system. When you copy them back to a Mac File System, the metadata files (._) will be joined back with the file. dot_clean removes them for when you use the device on something like an audio or video player.

It would have nothing to do with copying files from one user to another on the same Mac.
