Wifi dropped at home
Since I updated IOS 16.4.1 my WIFI from home drops on my phone every ten minutes and I have to reconnect. I have seen that Apple is aware of this bug. Anybody else have this problem?

This is a user forum, you are not addressing apple here just fellow users
you can try contacting apple Support -> Get Support (apple.com) / Contact - Official Apple Support
and or give them feedback -> Product Feedback - Apple
Yup. That’s a wise course of action, however in this case fruitless. This is a fairly ubiquitous bug in IOS 16.
id like to think Apple are doing the necessary and will have a fix in short time. This is an embarrassment for a tech company who have spent years pushing physical connections off the table!
I’m sure they’re on the case, but it’s fairly frustrating. Much as it was having no stored Wi-Fi passwords after the update.
hey ho!

No, it is not. I have 8 Apple devices, and none of them exhibit this so-called “ubiquitous bug”. You’d think that if it was ubiquitous everyone would be experiencing it (that’s what ubiquitous means), or at least a measurable number of the 2 billion iPhones in use. But I have seen no consistent reports of this problem. When there are real issues you will see thousands of posts about it.
In fact, the post you responded to was made 2 weeks ago. If it was a real problem you would have seen many responses, and there are none, and only 2 “me too” checks.

I’m sure it is a problem with your phone or your router. What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?
Hi,
Thanks for being so kind. It's nice to see the world of IT has grown to such an extent that people take the time to criticise posts offering them no harm whatsoever. How thoughtful.
To your [rather curt] points:
This is happening with a great many people; not everyone uses this forum, but there are other posts about it, which suggests it is certainly more than 3, which seems to be the implied assumption.
I'm glad you haven't come across it, but just because you have NOT come across it doesn't mean it isn't fairly common.
It's great your have 8 devices and they are bug-free. I'm assuming by your dismissive tone you are an expert in the field; as such you'll know better than anyone on this thread that bugs are not always consistent. I have several so-called "devices" (see what I did?), and none of them sport this issue. All are on the same router, so we can most likely rule that out, especially as it also happens elsewhere. I'd agree it is most likely an issue with the phone, as the most common and specific references I have seen on the internet are with IOS 16 and the iPhone 13. As far as I'm aware they are not just posting about my phone, so we can rule that out.
On a serious note: these forums are to help people, while you might get frustrated (not sure why as there was nothing personal in anyone's comments - unless you designed IOS 16?), consider empathy: if folk are asking on a 'support' (that is the important bit) forum for 'help' (another important word), facetious comments that seem - I'm sure they're not meant to - a tad arrogant, uncaring and dismissive are NOT conducive to help, kindness or general mindfulness of fellow humans (and indeed fellow Apple users!)
And as far as my vocabulary goes, I'm sure you're also well-acquainted with hyperbole as a good-natured bolster.
So while I thank you for your excoriation of my usage/abusage, I'm more than content with it, and look forward to either helpful comments or silence.
Muchas grassy *** (make of that what you will)
:-)
not me, not at home and not at work or when I visit people whos wifi I have a login to
if it was me then I would make sure the wifi router was running the newest firmware released by the manufacturer
