Is this link legit to locate my lost phone?

Hi all,

I lost my phone a few days ago and have activated lost mode via my other devices. Just now got a text message on my partner's number (possibly entered as a contact in case it is found), with a link that starts with http:// ilocation- mydevice .me , followed by some number as an id. The text message has my name and the model of my lost phone, but the link prompted by to enter my apple id and then the link stopped working. Really worried now if I have been pished!

Appreciate if any experts here knows if this is a legit link from Apple when it comes to locating a lost iphone.

Many Thanks!

NO IT’S NOT !!!

The ONLY legit url is https://icloud.com/find.

Period.

What you encountered was a far too common targeted phishing scam attempting to “crack” your device’s security AND hijack your AppleID as well.

You might encounter these messages for weeks or even months. NONE are legit.

IF you actually entered your Device Passcode or AppleID Password, proceed directly to here:

Otherwise, for next steps, see this … but IGNORE STEP 7.

NO!!!

It's a scam message from the thief. They want you to give up your Apple ID and password so they can unlock the phone and erase it as new. And on top of that, they'll also then have full access to your account.

Ignore any and all such messages, no matter where they claim to be from; police, Apple, whatever. They're all fake.
