You can send gmail using iPad and phone. I can receive email on all devices. I can’t send or reply to gmail with apple mail. I can send gmail from my computer from the google website. This is a 2 week old problem that was I termitent for 2 weeks prior, and now is permanent. I took all email accounts off line and resorted them. No change. Please help.

You will probable have to Delete the mailbox and then add it back. This is different than taking it Offline.
Something you could try first is go to Mail > Window > Connection Doctor to see if it a a communication or password issue.
