My Mac can't format SD Micro Card. It gets hung up on 'Waiting for partitions to activate. I've tried to format it with Disk Utilities and the SD Card Formatter, neither will work. I've already tried to do it on a different computer as well.

If you've tried different computers with no success I'd assume the card is damaged.
Does different computers include Windows? I've found somethings I just need to format a disk on a totally different type computer. Or use a partition editor such as GPartED. But given what they are, all the efforts is pointless to us.
We gave up cards several years ago and now use 250 GB pourable SSDs. Saves us a whole lot of time and effort with irksome little devices that never seem to work.
All I can say is I've had cards that could not be formatted on a Mac, only in a Camera.
I'll have to see if I can find someone with a Window's machine to see if they can format it. My drone requires the SD Micro card so I need to fix it or get a new one. Thanks for the suggestion.
I did try to format using a Canon camera and it would work either. Damage card....
Works for me. But I'd never spend this amount of time on a SD card. Too cheap not to keep several around. Kind of like Alkaline batteries; they're consumables.
If the card is for a drone, what does its literature say about formatting it?
