I purchased a ringtone & was charged $1.29 but it didn’t download or show up in my ringtones setting list or in my music library.

I purchased a ringtone from Apple for $1.29 and was charged but it’s not showing up in my music library or in my music settings for ringtones. What can I do?

Hi Debidi,


For help with accessing your ringtone, test the steps for redownloading your purchases below and also found in the article here: Get ringtones, text tones, and alert tones in the iTunes Store on iPhone


"Redownload tones purchased with your Apple ID

If you bought tones on another device, you can download them again.

  1. Go to Settings  > Sounds & Haptics (on supported models) or Sounds (on other iPhone models).
  2. Below Sounds and Vibration Patterns, tap any sound.
  3. Tap Download All Purchased Tones. You might not see this option if you already downloaded all the tones that you purchased or if you haven’t purchased any tones."


Once redownloaded you can use the steps here to access your purchase. Use tones and ringtones with your iPhone or iPad


If the issue remains, check your purchase history and report a problem with the steps here: View your purchase history for the App Store, iTunes Store, and other Apple media services
