Surprising Im the only one with this problem , mys oftware updated , yet not able ot add a contact in favourites

I did a workaround, clunky but worked.

I forwarded the contact in a text to my cell.

Then added the contact to my contacts and then was able to add it to my favorites before I closed out the new, (duplicate) contact.
