Smart albums

Whenever I try to delete a smart album or re-order them, Photos crashes. I have about 50 smart albums curating 36000 pictures. Frustrating - as smart albums are very useful!

That is a tricky problem. Have you already tried to repair your Photos Library? Repair your library in Photos on Mac – Apple Support (UK)

If you cannot delete the smart albums directly, you could try to enclose them in a folder, then delete the folder. Deleting a folder will delete all albums and smart albums inside the folder.
