Same profile picture in 2 profiles

At work I use an iMac with a unique Apple-ID "xxx" and an iPhone with my own Apple-ID "yyy". When I change the profile picture it changes on both ID's.

So if I change the profile picture on my iPhone - it changes on my work iMac - and vice versa.

If I change my profile picture in my personal icloud - it also changes on my work iMac - and vice versa.

If I go to Settings on my iPhone and click on my account name - it definitely states the Apple-ID "yyy".

And if I go to Settings on my work iMac and click on the account name - it definitely states the Apple-ID "xxx"

The weird thing though: my personal apps, that I bought or downloaded are not found on my work iMac - neither are my personal fotos on the work iMac.

Pages, numbers, reminders....-files, etc. are all correctly saved - so neither my work iMac account can access my personal numbers documents, nor can I access my work documents.

Any help highly appreciated.

If synchronization is established, this happens. I would prefer it didn't but it does. Unfortunately, the process is apparently not perfect.

I just today got a message from my son. HIS graphic, the one he chose, is now the image in my contacts. Dunno why that happens either, but I bet some Apple developer somewhere does.

Thanks for your message. That's not what I mean. I'm talking about the profile picture of my account/Apple-ID that seems to be valid for two account. To clarify, my work ID cannot have a different profile pic than my personal Apple-ID-profile-pic and vice versa.

FWIW, if you are using the same Apple ID but different user names, that will happen. The profile picture is tied to the Apple ID, not the account name.

Thanks for your help.

As mentioned in the initial post.

One Apple-ID is "xxx@aaa.com"

The other Apple-ID is "nnoopp@iii.org"

I wasn't sure if you were actually talking about two different Apple ID's, so was just clarifying. I don't have any idea why two Apple ID's can't have two different profile pics.
