How to stop my work app on my iphone from turning off sound/music from other apps (A2DP/Audio Gateway Profile issue)

Hi guys,

I recently starting using an app on my iphone for work called Cognito IQ. The issue i'm having with it is that whenever I have it open, it automatically turns off all other music and sounds that I have playing (after around 20 seconds).

I have been in contact with the developers and followed all their instructions regarding the in-app settings and i've turned off every possible notification/sound etc that could cause an app to override my music/sounds that are playing in the background. However, the problem is still there.

Does anybody know of any apps or other settings within an iphone that can essentially completely block this app from overriding ANY background sound/music? Are there any that can block the A2DP/audio gateway profile for this app?

Any help would be hugely appreciated.
