Data validation possibility
In Excel, I was able to make a drop down list with data validation from a list of items from either the same page or different page. I’m trying to figure out how to do that on numbers. Please help.

"Data Validation" as in Excel is not a supported feature, but creating a pop-up menu from a list of items is supported, and is quite simple. Here's a quick example:
Start by listing your menu items in the order you want them to appear in a column of cells.
When the list is completed, select the cells, then click the Format Brush to open the Format Inspector, and choose the Cell button.
Click the token at the right end of the menu below "Data Format", then choose Pop Up menu:
Each of the selected cells ins now a pop up menu containing the same list of choices. Each is set to the value that was visible when the menu was created. Next step: Click the up down button at the right end of the Start With item, and change it to Start with Blank.
This adds a new 'blank' item to the top of the menu list, but does not reset each menu to this value.
You can reset the menu values individually, or set the top one, then Fill that one down into the other cells (and beyond, if needed.
To fill the same setting and a copy of the menu into cells below:
Set the top menu cell to 'none'.
Hover the pointer near the bottom border of that cell. A small, yellow filled circle will appear:
This is the Fill Control.
Use the mouse pointer to 'grab' the control and drag it down the column to place the same pop up menu (with the same setting) into as many rows as needed.
Here is the initial result when the menu has been filled down to row 10.
Cell B10 shows the menu as I have clicked on it, but hve not made a choice yet.
The menus set to 'none' filled into the cells above B10 show an 'empty' cell—the display for 'none'.

Barry
