Hello, Hannah!

What are you trying to delete and what happens when you try to delete it?

Here’s also a helpful article with more information about how to manage your iPad’s storage: If you need more space for an update on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.

Sounds weird that your computer won't let you delete anything.

Maybe try this, though. Go into your "System Information" app (it's a Utility). Click "Window" on the top bar, then, click "Storage Management," then "Reduce Clutter." It will show you your largest files and let you decide what you need and don't need (i.e., let you decide what to delete).

I'm using an older Mac running Catalina, so you may have a different path to follow. But the "System Information" app should be a good starting point.
