I am not able to login to my gmail account an I have tried everything

SOLUTION:
if both the "send text" or "tap on device" options are greyed out and you cannot log into Gmail
due to a double-authentification requirement...
- go ahead and choose the option that is scary and says "may take 3-5 days"
-- then the text message option will finally work. It will fix it immediately.

If you can't sign in to your Google Account in Gmail, Google Drive, Google Play, ... You know your username and password, but you can't sign in.
