I have a mac mini which does not connect to an older monitor with a Moread HDMI to VGA adapter, it does connect to another monitor using HDMI to HDMI but NOT to the monitor I want to use, again HDMI to HDMI. Tried two different HDMI cables but I just get “No signal”
What year model is the Mac Mini?

If it is a 2018 or later Mac Mini, then you can use a USB-C to VGA adapter.
Test a Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter in one of the Thunderbolt 2/Mini DisplayPort's,
or….. a different HDMI to VGA adapter.
I think it is, but to be sure I would have to take it back to the one monitor that does work. So I need a USB-C to VGA cable/adaptor?
