(error code 0xFFFFFFFF80020000).

The disc can’t be burned because an unexpected error occurred (error code 0xFFFFFFFF80020000).

I have cleaned the superdrive heads, and I have tried to burn at a lower speed. I have two superdrive and I have tried them both - which tells me it's probably the software update of my Mac. I'm using iMac 27 inch, 2020 on Ventura 13.4. Thank you.

Try restarting in Safe Mode ( Safe Mode ) and please be patient it can take up to 5 minutes for a Safe Mode restart to boot. Then restart normally and test.

Are these new blank disks?

Are the disk inserted in the drive in the correct origination, i.e. prints side up? (The reason I ask is a user had the SuperDrive upside down and when inserting the disk correctly it was in fact upside down).

Are these RW disks? If so if used before they need to be erased before burning again.

Have you installed and run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your Mac?
