MacBook Pro 2018 High Temperature and CPU Usage

Hello everyone,

take my love from the bottom of my heart.

I Have an issue with my Mac. I think it's overheating.

Can anyone please tell me why its heating so high ?

Are you driving an external monitor? That alone can cases heating up. Any load you put on the machine will cause heating as it's working harder.


The same can be said for resource intense apps.


You might try gently blowing out the air vents.

Running useless anti-virus and so-called "cleaning" apps are anther sure way to increase internal temperatures. Client-side VPNs can as well.


The positioning of the device in the picture appears excellent for keeping the intake and exhaust vents free of obstructions so we can eliminate physical handling as the issue.


Can you give us and idea of what apps/tasks you are doing when you notice the heating?
